It’s incredible how uninformed Palin Republican followers are. I can only imagine where our country would be if Palin had become VP, or worse, if she would become President in 2012.
I don’t think I have to make any comment. Just listen to this New Left Media film , produced by Chase Whiteside (interviews) and Erick Stoll (camera). You be the judge.
“A U.S. judge has denied bail to a white supremacist blogger and Internet radio host accused of threatening to kill three federal judges in Chicago who refused to overturn local bans on handguns.”
“Hal Turner, New Jersey’s top white supremacist Internet-radio show hosting lunatic is back in the news today, for pretty much the same reason he was in the news threatening public officials with bodily harm, and subsequently getting arrested for it!”
Keith Olbermann, host of MSNBC’s Countdown has come up with a sensible way to deal with hate speech in public venues. Olbermann’s website says, “Countdown’s Keith Olbermann asks people to “quarantine” Fox News Channel and its hateful incitements against abortion, which he contends contributed at least in part to the death of Dr. George Tiller.”
Putting this proposal into practice is actually quite easy as I discovered during a recent visit to Minneapolis. The limited choices available on the cable television provided at the hotel chain where I’d booked accommodations was dominated by Fox Sports, Fox News not to mention the local Fox affiliate. With that many Fox selections, it begs the question of whether this hotel chain gets free cable. Due to the serious lack of channel choices, presumably, hotel management assumes that guests spend a minimal amount of time viewing in-room television. Otherwise, they would offer more than all Fox all the time. Let the quarantine begin!
What a perfect opportunity to test Olbermann’s recommendation. I informed hotel management of my displeasure with the plethora of Fox channels, the lack of suitable alternatives and especially the unavailability of MSNBC. Judging from the reaction I received, this wasn’t the first complaint the hotel received. Surprise, surprise.
Media Matters for America has put together a YouTube video with clips of hate speech from the far right pundits. Yet more examples of why Olbermann’s quarantine effort is a worthwhile endeavor.
Self described “man of God” Pastor Wiley Drake prays for the death of President Obama. Is this another instance of right wing fringe actions based in self hatred toward others? Is this another attempt to incite a deranged lunatic to murder an innocent human being?
Prepare to be troubled after listening to Premiere Radio Networks Randi Rhodes’ interview with Randall Terry. Randi pulls no punches in this no holds barred exchange and refuses to back down. Thank you Randi!! For someone who claims to be a Christian, Terry’s screed regurgitates a tirade of hateful nonsense.
Randi Rhodes
Randall Terry said, “as far as hate speech is concerned, hatred can be a really good thing”
Is this what Jesus would say? After Terry apparently hung up on Rhodes he called her back to further abuse her and her audience. Let’s not forget, this kind of hateful rhetoric culminated with the death of Dr. George Tiller. Randal Terry would be entertaining were it not for the fact he seems to be completely out of control.
The strangest part of this entire interview was at the end when Terry used a prolonged unintelligible vocalization. Does anyone know what that was intended to convey?
Please return to this blog next week when Nancy Gene weighs in and sheds some light on how men can virtually put an end to abortion simply by taking responsibility for their actions.
